After completing my three finals, I flew into Paris on Thursday the 19th to meet up with my mom and aunt.I was extremely excited to see my mom! On my flight from Barcelona to Paris, the flight attendant asked me if I would mind to switch my seat and my new seat happened to be next to another girl that I knew from high school. Once again, it was such a coincidence to run into someone I knew while abroad! After two months it was refreshing to see some family! We stayed the night at a hotel and took and early train to Kaiserslautern, Germany. Here, we were picked up by one of my family members that lives in the area. We were extremely lucky to have a family that were willing to put us up and be our own personal tour guides for the entirety of our visit. In the afternoon we walked around the downtown area of Kaiserslautern. We turned in early that night after a couple of long days of traveling.
The next day we went to Heidelberg, where my Mema’s brother and his wife live. After visiting them and chatting, we toured the Heidelberg Castle. This structure was very beautiful and offered a great view of the city below. We then met up with more family, who I had the pleasure of meeting for the first time, and we got lunch in a small town called Schwetzingen. For dinner, we all met up again in Heidelberg and I tried a turkey schnitzel, which was very good! The next day, my mom, aunt, and I flew back to Sevilla. Our stay in Germany was short and I hope to go back again in the future!!
